A brand new Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf has just been filmed on the streets of London. This particular Lagonda appears to be one of the very first delivered anywhere in the world and has been painted in a simple shade of gloss black.

When initially unveiled in late 2013, Aston Martin claimed that the relaunched Lagonda would be restricted to the Middle East. However, on the back of demand for the car from around the world, the British firm revealed that it would be offered for sale in EU legislation-compliant Continental Europe, the United Kingdom as well as South Africa. Just 200 examples are destined for the production line and only a small proportion of those are expected to be UK-spec cars, making this spot particularly special.

The magnificent handmade four-door super-sports saloon measuring 5,396.5mm long and riding on a 3,189mm wheelbase, gets a 5.9-litre V12 with around 550 hp and a new eight-speed ZF automatic transaxle gearbox from the latest Aston Martin Rapide S. Yet despite being half a metre longer than the Rapide for the class-leading rear cabin, it weighs the same as its sibling for zesty performance.
