Our latest segment of ‘Cars and Girls’ features a 2008 Land Rover Defender at a scenic beach, with the shoot taking place in broad daylight.

Interestingly, the Defender is up for sale for €39,900 at Cohen Cunild in Puerto Banus, Spain. The price includes VAT and a one-year warranty. The Defender was registered in May 2008 and has covered 25,000 km since then. It has a black exterior paint and the interior is quite old-school, thus retaining the classic feel of driving a Land Rover.

Under the hood, there’s a 2.4-liter four-cylinder Ford Duratorq engine (aka the “Puma” engine) that produces 122 hp and 359 Nm of torque. Power is transferred to the four wheels of the car by a 6-speed manual gearbox. The variable geometry turbocharger ensures that there’s a wider spread of torque from 1500 rpm to 2000 rpm than in the previous Td5 engine. This new drivetrain in Defender was introduced in 2007 to meet emissions and safety legislation.
