HRE Wheels has showcased a stunning white Porsche 918 Spyder fitted with gloss black wheels. The latter, which belong to HRE Wheels’ P1 Series, were installed by the owner before he even took the delivery of the vehicle. They match the black racing stripes on the 918 Spyder which pay homage to the Porsche Salzburg motorsport team of the 1960s and 70s.

HRE Performance Wheels is a California-based company that produces 3- and 1-piece forged aluminium alloy wheels. It was founded in 1978 and all its products are manufactured in the United States, apart from the FlowForm wheels and the Carbon Series barrels, which are made in Japan and Germany, respectively.

The Porsche 918 Spyder is powered by a mid-mounted 4.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that generates 608 hp independently. This petrol engine is assisted by two electric motors and when the three work in unison, the hybrid supercar delivers a total of 893 hp and 1280 Nm of torque.

This allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 345 km/h. Despite that, with a full tank of petrol and a fully charged set of batteries, the car gives a range of 680 km (420 miles).

Only 918 units of the supercar were manufactured by Porsche and this one carries the chassis number 512. All units were officially sold out in December 2014 and the production ended in June 2015.
