A Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 S Roadster is up for sale in the Netherlands. The supercar has only covered 8,912 km on the odometer and interested buyers will have to contact Hoefnagels to know the exact price of the vehicle.

The 772 S Roadster went on sale in January 2009 and Mercedes-Benz had reportedly embedded a price tag of more than $500,000 on it at that time. Considering only 150 units of the vehicle were produced and a 722 S Roadster sold in 2013 was quoted at $488,000, this used model will likely cost at least $450,000.

Under the hood, there is a 5.5-litre supercharged V8 engine is capable of producing 650 hp and 820 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The 722 S Raodster can reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 335 km/h. It sports a semi-automatic soft top that blends well with the flowing lines of the body and can be opened or closed in about ten seconds.

In case you are wondering, the “722” in the name pays homage to the triumph by Sir Stirling Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenikson at the 1955 Mille Miglia in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR #722. They started the race at 7.22 am and Stirling Moss averaged a speed of 157 km/h through the roads of Italy during the race.
