Early Floyd Mayweather Looking to buy Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, reports emerged that Floyd Mayweather Junior had purchased an exceptionally rare Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. Now the boxer has confirmed the purchase on his Facebook page by posing alongside the Swedish hypercar.

Mayweather reports that the car is valued at $4.8 million which would comfortably make it is most expensive vehicle in his collection exceeding even the Ferrari Enzo he recently sold. As evidenced by recent auction results however, a used U.S.-spec CCXR recently sold for $825,000 so it seems unlikely that when Mayweather decides to sell his Trevita, he’ll make any money.

A couple months ago, the car was listed up for sale from Fusion Luxury Motors for $3.08 million and given Mayweather’s close ties with the dealership, there’s a good chance he got it for even less than that.

Whatever the case may be, his latest purchase is undeniably impressive. Just three CCXR Trevitas were produced and only one of them resides in the United States. The most eye-catching element of the Trevita to distinguish it from other CCXR models is the diamond weave carbon fibre finish.

Beneath the skin, it features the same twin-supercharged 4.8-litre V8 engine as most other CCXR models and consequently delivers 1018 hp at 7000 rpm and 797 lb-ft of torque at 5600 rpm.
