When the extreme Ferrari 599 GTO was launched, it was the Italian company’s fastest and most hardcore model available. However, 2012 saw the release of the almighty Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and alongside being more comfortable than the 599 GTO, it is also significant faster. In fact, it can lap the Fiorano test track a full 3 seconds faster than the 599 GTO.

So when the two were pitted together at a recent Unlim500+ drag racing event in Russia, it was inevitable which one would come out on top. Nevertheless, hearing these two screaming V12s roaring down the drag strip makes the video worth a watch.
On paper, here is how the two compare. The Ferrari 599 GTO’s naturally-aspirated V12 engine pumps out 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. By comparison, the F12 Berlinetta delivers a supremely more impressive 740 hp.
