Porsche U.S Sales

Porsche has just released its 2014 sales in the United States with the German firm raking in a total of 47,007 new vehicle sales.

By comparison, 42,323 Porsches were sold in 2013 and the 2014 sales represent an 11.1 per cent increase. The main contributing factor for the increase in U.S. Porsche sales was the introduction of the ‘entry-level’ Porsche Macan crossover.

In the months that the Porsche Macan was on sale, a total of 7241 examples were sold and as it stands, demand is currently outstripping supply by some margin. Elsewhere in the Porsche range, 7292 Boxster and Caymans found new homes while 5470 units of the Panamera were sold. Combined, 10529 Porsche 911 and 918 Spyders were sold.

The German firm’s Cayenne SUV remains its biggest selling with a total of 16205 units sold which is actually slightly down on the 18507 Cayennes sold in 2013.
