Following his departure as team principal at the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One squad, Stefano Domenicali landed himself a role at Audi. Now it has been revealed that Domenicali has also been named the FIA’s new head of the Single-Seater Commission.
The FIA’s Single-Seater Commission is responsible for organising the ladder of formula racing excluding Formula One. The president of the Single-Seater Commission was previously Gerhard Berger who helped with the rebirth of the Formula 3 European Championship and was responsible for the creation of the Formula 4 category.
In his new role as the head of the commission, Domenicali will play a pivotal role in the development of young racers into harder series of open-wheel racing.
