When we recently visited the Ferrari London dealership and saw the one-off Pininfarina Sergio Concept, we learnt that six examples of the unique car had been commissioned for production at 2.1 million euros apiece. Very little news about the production-spec Pininfarina Sergio’s have been revealed but now two interesting renderings have emerged possibly showing the road-going car.
The renderings see the addition of a traditional windscreen, a higher nose to pass pedestrian protection regulations as well as normal doors. Additionally, the car featured in the renderings includes different seats as well as a redesigned engine cover.
It is worth noting however that these renderings are far from being confirmed as official.
Sergio Pininfarina passed away at the age of 85 in 2012 and in 2013, the Pininfarina Sergio Concept was built as a tribute to him. It is based on the Ferrari 458 Italia and carry’s the standard 458 drivetrain which is a 4.5-litre V8 that produces 570 hp, making the car sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of up to 320 km/h.
