One of only 500 Lexus LFAs ever built made a special appearance at the 2014 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show. Sitting on a turntable and under the spotlight, this special Lexus was clearly one of the stars of the show!
A Lexus LFA was displayed at the show back in 2011, but no others have returned since. This particular LFA is the 2012 model and as will all other, hides a 4.8L V10 under its hood.
The 4.8-litre, 552 bhp V10 is an animal! The car explodes up to 100 km/h from standstill in just 3.7 seconds and if your ear drums had not been perforated well before, this carbon fibre concoction of a science experiment will only stop at 325 km/h.
The rear-mounted, six-speed automated manual transmission incorporates a Torsen limited-slip differential. Control arms comprise the front suspension, with a multi-link arrangement at the back. The car also features a Brembo carbon-ceramic brake setup consists of 15.4 inch discs and six-piston monoblock calipers up front, with 14.2-inch discs and four-piston calipers at the back. Forged aluminum 20-inch BBS wheels are then wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires.
