Ferrari World Finals 2013

The Ferrari World Finals 2013 have been eventful as they ever have been. The event hosted at the legendary Mugello Test Track, a track often used for the FXX Client programme. It is a fantastic show on the track with the Scuderia Ferrari and all framed by an exhibition extraordinary historical cars, examples from the current range, entertainment for kids, kart races, simulators, pit stop races and much more! The 2013 Finali Mondiali Ferrari, the event, which for over 20 years has been concluding Ferrari’s motorsport season.

This years show featured a very special jewel in the the Ferrari crown, a stunning, gob-smacking Giallo 458 Special. The golden yellow finish glinted under the bright lights, beautifully contrasted with two delicate black stripes that are flanked by thinner silver ones, a welcome change from the standard Rosso cars that have been making the cars global debuts. Although we certainly would not mind one in Rosso!

Adding to the aggression are the beautifully intricate lightweight wheels that look even better finished in menacing black!

To refresh your memory here are more details on the latest 458. The Ferrari 458 Speciale receives a modified variant of 458’s 4.5-liter V8 engine. In this stripped out race-car for the road, it delivers a total of 597hp and 398lb-ft of torque making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine ever produced by Ferrari. Weight reduction is a big part of the philosophy, the Speciale loses 195 kg over the standard 458 Italia at 1,290 kg. This means this menacing looking athlete will hit 100km/h from nought in under 3 seconds.
