And in the case of Eric Clapton, that’s what he did when purchasing his one-off Ferrari 458 Italia based Ferrari SP12 EC early last year. Originally Clapton wanted a V12 to power the car in homage to one of his favourite Ferrari models of all time, the flat-12 engined BB 512i. However, Ferrari managed to convince the singer songwriter of the Ferrari 458 Italia’s suitability and the base was chosen.
The one-off Ferrari SP12 EC was recently spotted driving in London and it’s a great thing to see the $4.7 million car out in the world on occasion!
