On top of the McLaren P1 recently making its debut in Hong Kong, McLaren Automotive also took the wraps off a very special McLaren 12C limited edition dubbed the B&W Edition for the Hong Kong market.
The McLaren 12C B&W Edition has a two-tone exterior which as suggested by the name, is black and white. More specifically, the McLaren 12C B&W Edition features a white paint scheme with gloss black accents on the roof, engine cover, rear spoiler, rear bumper, wing mirrors and the wheels. Further distinguishing the McLaren 12C B&W Edition from the regular McLaren 12C are its unique gloss white finished air vents and instrument panel.
The McLaren 12C B&W Edition was created by McLaren Special Operations and costs 4,680,000 HKD.
Under the hood, the McLaren 12C B&W Edition features the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as the regular McLaren 12C. Consequently, it produces an equal 616hp and 600Nm of torque which helps propel the British supercar to 62mph in just 3.1 seconds. From there, the McLaren 12C B&W Edition hits 200km/h in just 8.8 seconds before topping out at an impressive top speed of 332km/h. That engine is then mated to a crisp and extremely fast-shifting dual-clutch, seven-speed transmission making the McLaren 12C a real joy to drive!
What a load of "Meh…."! Was the first version called the "B&O edition"? Do they have a "x & x Edition" for each color they offer? Seriously McLaren…… I thought it featured a B&W sound system or something…
I think it is one of the best supercars ever, in orange though
