Maserati Contemplating Developing its own Alfa Romeo 4C

Official: 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C

Maserati could be set to capitalize on its affiliations with Alfa Romeo and could consequently create its own variant of the brand new Alfa Romeo 4C sports car.

The possibility was leaked by Maserati CEO Herald Wester when questioned by AutoExpress at the Shanghai Motor Show 2013 about whether Maserati could produce its very own variant of the Alfa Romeo 4C.

Wester simply replied “It’s a nice idea”.

In standard Alfa Romeo specification, the 4C delivers 237hp and can ultimately hit 62mph in just 4.5 seconds before hit a top speed in excess of 155mph.

If Maserati were to ever create its own variant of the Alfa Romeo 4C, it’d inevitably feature a more powerful engine and could utilise the advanced carbon fiber monocoque found in the 4C.
