The Lotus Exige S1 a competition based car is the subject of our Photo of the Day today! This one is the Le Mans Type 49 photographed by Alexie Goure Photography. It is based on the Lotus Exige Series 1 which was introduced in 2000 with a 1.8 L Rover K Series engine that produces 177 bhp but there was a version that had 192 bhp. Powerhouse was mated to a 5 speed manual gear box with a top speed of 219kph.
This particular one was photographed in the woods. It features a red coating with some complementary coating on the sides. Modified for racing purposes, the hood and roof heavily depicts that fact, not to mention the wheels which are wrapped in Toyo Tires.
