Subaru has made it no secret that they plan to unveil a new concept at the upcoming New York Auto Show.

French website Blog Automobile has leaked pictures they claim to be of the soon-to-be-unveiled Subaru WRX concept. While no official word has come down from Subaru PR confirming or denying the validity of the renders, they appear to be polished and professional enough to be an official Subaru design.

The new WRX concept (if it turns out to be real) features styling cues from the much beloved 22B. A car whose styling has been lost on recent WRX iterations. The car adopts a lower, wider, more aggressive stance compared to previous generations, which we like a lot. While no official press release has been sent out, sources have told Blog Automobile that the new WRX will once again receive a turbocharged boxer 4-cylinder engine good for 275-300 hp.

We will keep you updated as we learn more about the new WRX (or the fake renders).
