Ferrari presented the 458 Spider in August 2011 with a metal roof of aluminum which disappears under the engine hood. Compared with the 458 Italia, the open model doesn´t usually has an engine glass cover.
Now, the well known German company Capristo created a high quality engine cover with a centrally lengthwise inlaid glass, so that the desired view of the V8 rumble-engine is free as is the case with the 458 Italia. The new cover has more vents which guarantee an improved cooling.
