Argentinian football star Carlos Tevez, playing for Manchester City, has been driving around without a valid driving license. When Tevez was stopped during a routine patrol in Didsbury, a suburban area Manchester, he could only show a license from his home country, which isn’t legal for drivers in the UK. On that basis the officer seized the white Porsche Panamera and took it away on a low-loader. A Spokesman from Greater Manchester Police said:
Shortly before 7.55pm on Thursday 15 November a traffic officer on patrol stopped a Porsche Panamera during routine inquiries. The officer spoke to the driver and seized the car under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. The driver has now been summonsed for driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence.
