On Saturday 28th of January YouTube member and photographer CarSpotterQVS had a photoshoot with the village-Corvette. When the owner and the photographer arrived in the Dutch city of Baarn they did a photoshoot at an industrial area.

When the owner started the car to drive back, the car did not start, the battery was empty. There was another car with a starting cable helping out, and then it happened. The cables were connected and the owner started the Corvette. While doing that the engine bay caught on fire.

The final result is visible in the video below. According to the photographer, the car will be rebuild to its original state.

  1. Typically with a Corvette I’d agree. But this engine looks like it was modified. Corvettes are not made well, but catching fire isn’t generally an issue as with Ferraris.
