Ever since the first rendering was revealed and the final presentation of the Stratos was held, the new Lancia sportscar got the attention it deserved. A while back we showed you a rendering of the Stratos GT2 racer.
In line with motorsports a Stratos was revealed at the Paul Ricard circuit in the South of France covered in a retro alitalia rally livery. Mainly to honor the original rally Stratos which was one of the most iconic rally machines ever produced. For many this paint scheme brings back memories of the good old rally days. The video below shows the unveiling of the first dummy.
someone explain to me please, i thought this was a one off?
Shawn you are right at this moment the new Stratos is a one off.
But the owner/ developer has multiple plans. One plan is to sell the development to a larger manufacturer. Another plan is to race this car. To participate in a racing series he now has to built a real racecar.
Please note that the car in the picture above is just a dummy and no real car. Easy to spot when you look at the brake calipers and the front grille.
Oh look – the cow dung car in rally format. lol I guess liking this car is irrational as my attachment to this childhood sweetheart:
