Have BMW caved in? Are these the first spyshots of an M3 CSL? We’re not quite sure, these pictures look as though they show a BMW test car putting in a few laps at the Nurburgring. A few hints we’re given are the new front spoiler, the roll cage and the rear spoiler. The car also looks physically lower than the standard car.
The previous generation CSL never turned a profit for BMW so many assumed that there wouldn’t be another. We’ve talked about seeing one next year though so perhaps these photos prove those rumours to be true? Who knows? We’ll have to keep speculating until we see something a little more convincing…
