We liked the idea of the LP550-2 from the moment we first saw it. It’s the first rear-wheel drive Lamborghini of the Audi era, a driver focused supercar, the LP550-2 is fitting of it’s Valentino Balboni name tag. In this video, Valentino Balboni explains a little about his own feelings of the car. It’s brilliantly produced, plus we get to hear a few short blasts of the LP550-2’s 5.2 litre V10!
The LP550-2 will be built in a limited production run of 250 units costing €162.000 (£137,900 or $219,800) pre-tax. Springs, dampers, stabilisers and even the tyres were tweaked to maximise the driving dynamics as well as the Aerodynamics. Weight is kept down to 1,380kg and the 5.2 litre V10 features 550bhp, 100kph (62mph) is reached in just 3.9 seconds. 320kph (199mph) is the top speed.
