It looks like Jaguar isn’t to bothered with the current economical crisis. A few weeks ago there appeared rumours on a 4 door coupe and now renderings appeared on a successor for the legendary Jaguar XJ220, a car that stole the hearts of many car fans. This news might be a little bit surprising, but Tata, the company that owns Jaguar, confirmed that they see a future for this project. We also learned that the new Jaguar won’t be a hyper-car, but will settle itself in the long row of sportscars, such as the Audi R8, Porsche 991 Turbo and Maserati Gran Turismo.
The engine, that will be fit in the middle of the car, will be a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 that we now find in the XF-R. That will result in an output of 503 bhp and as the car will probably not weigh that much, the sprint from standstill to 62 mph (100 kmh) will be close to 4 seconds. A topspeed can be around 220 mph (350 kmh). The new cat is expected on the 2010 Geneva car show and will has been rumoured to be the ‘Jaguar EX’. We can’t wait for more news on this!

Doesn’t look bad! Would prefer different wheels though!
This car is beautiful. Please do not ruin the lines of the EX roadster convertible by sticking ugly role bars up behind the seats as BMW Z4 has done.
