Rumours: 430 Scuderia Spider

Autogespot Scuderia Spider Photoshops

Here are a different set of interpretations 430 Scuderia Spider could look like. After some further investigations on what this car could possibly be and whether any of the rumours appear to have any wieght behind them, several things have emerged. Firstly if the car is made, which if speculation is to be believed it’s almost a certainty, then it will be lighter than the standard 430 Scuderia. Secondly this could be made possible by a Barchetta style roof layout, getting rid of any extra wieght, increasing rigidity and doing away with any style of roof, much like Mercedes-Benz have planned for the ‘Speedster’. This isn’t afterall the first time Ferrari have used the barchetta layout (550 Barchetta). 500 would be made worldwide according to rumours with 40 possibly reaching UK shores.

430 Scuderia Spider

Were going to keep using the word ‘Spider’ to describe it for the moment, until we hear any official press releases from Ferrari, which are traditionally few and far between regarding new models, but the Barchetta option appear to be the most sensible for a mid-engined performance supercar. We’re still very sceptical as to what the true details of this car really are (hence the ‘rumours’ title), but were now pretty sure that there will be an open top performance car coming out of Marenello in the near future. Until then, enjoy Autogespot.com photoshops and this picture of the black (fake) Scuderia Spider, no pictures of what a Barchetta could look like yet…
