Over the past couple of years more and more celebrities entered the Gumball 3000. For this year we already confirmed rapper Xzibit, Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay, Danny Dyer and Tamar Hassan. Danny Dyer and Tamar Hassan as hosts of this years Gumball 3000 tv show and Xzibit and Jay Kay as part of the Adidas team. The latest news we received is that Canadian actor Hayden Christensen, British actor Jason Statham and musician Huey Morgan also take part in this years rally.
Hayden made fame as Anakin Skywalker in Starwars, last year he did Bullrun in a Ferrari. Hopefully he and his car won’t have to spend 8 hours on a flatbed this time!
Jason Statham became famous for his roles in Snatch, The Italian Job and The Transporter 1 and 2. We really enjoy his driving scenes in The Transporter, compared to that the Gumball 3000 is a walk in the park!
Huey Morgan is the frontman of the New York based rock & hip hop group Fun Lovin’ Criminals. He’s currently working on the British film Clubbing to Death together with Gumball 2005 participant Dave Courtney (Team 103).
We haven’t heard anything about the stars of last years Gumball ‘3000 Miles’ movie Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn, Mike Vallely and Rooftop Escamilla. So we will see whether they are there or not in 6 days!
