While it doesn’t rain often in California, when it does rain there are always car casualties left in the storm’s wake. In this case, an unlucky San Diego Lamborghini owner who found his brand new Huracan submerged in flood waters after a recent spout of rain.

According to the owner, his Huracan only had a few hundred miles on the odometer before falling victim to recent inclement weather in San Diego. Posting on HuracanTalk, the owner states that his insurance took care of the totaled Huracan. Although he does lament that it took six weeks before the matter was resolved.

The owner has since ordered a replacement Huracan, which he has had wrapped in black carbon fiber with matching red accents on the front bumper, sides and hood.

We’re happy that this story ends well. Far too often we hear of owners being given the run around by insurance companies in situations like this.
