Unveiled a year ago at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show, the 2017 Ford GT is on display once more at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show right before going into production this year. Last year showed in the signature blue color, Ford presents the 2016 Ford GT at this year’s edition of the NAIAS wearing a beautiful white jacket and in production guise.

Being close to having the best power-to-weight ratio of any production car in the world, the 2017 Ford GT is set to be a success. Powered by a 3.5-litre twinturbo V6 Ecoboost engine, the car will output more than 600hp.

Having a curb-weight of only 1310 kilograms, it’s no surprise that a V6 can boost the 2-door coupe to such performance. With almost everything carbon-fibre and Gorilla glass for the windshield, the car is one of the lightest in its class.

Ford plans on producing only 200 Ford GT’s in 2016, with pricing indicated around $400.000. For more information on the 2017 Ford GT, please click on the link and read the dedicated post. For more information on the 2016 Detroit Motor Show, please click on the link and follow the news channel.
