Roger Penske Pays $900k for Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 Roadster

Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversario

Retailing in the United States for over $450,000, the exclusive Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversario Roadster is the most expensive road-going Lamborghini model available in the States. However, when attending a charity auction of a stunning yellow example, true motorsport icon Roger Penske paid an impressive $900,000 for the prized Italian supercar!

The action was held at the Naples Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort last month and was benefitting the Naples Children and Education Foundation.

Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversario Coupe

With the exception of a hard, fixed roof, the Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversario Roadster remains the same. That means that thanks to various engine optimizations the Aventador has a top output of 720 horsepower which result in a sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h. A redesigned front and rear with side flaps improves the aerodynamics of the Aventador further while the new rear also improves the heat flow from the engine.
