Nissan has confirmed to journalists at AutoExpress that they are planning special Nismo editions of their Juke, 370Z and GT-R models. Nismo performance models and extreme RS versions are planned.

The Nismo brand will be used as an affordable alternative to Mercedes’ AMG division. Normal Nismo versions will get a power improvement of around 15 per cent, but the main focus will be more on distinctive styling with the red highlights. Tuning of the suspension and steering is also included.

First to arrive will be the UK-built Juke Nismo early next year. In 2013 the 370Z and the GT-R will follow. The RS-based models are expected at a later stage and not earlier than 2014.
