BMW M5 G-Power Hurricane RS Touring

G-Power are now offering their Hurricane RS upgrades for the BMW M5 Touring models. It offers a top speed of 360km/h thanks to a 750hp twin-supercharged V10 powerplant which makes it one of the fastest estate cars in the world.

Two ASA T1-316 superchargers have been fitted; one to each cylinder bank. A twin-scroll, water-cooled intercooler has been added to aid air flow. The box itself has been cast from aluminium and replaces the series-production airbox giving increased responsiveness combined with a considerable benefit in torque.

Mahle high-performance forged pistons with lower compression and increased stiffness have been added. The standard con-rods and piston pins have been replaced by specialist parts too. Optimized mapping for the engine electronics gives that little bit extra.

0-100km/h times are less than 4.5 seconds, 9.7 seconds to 200km/h and 26 seconds to the 300km/h mark are impressive too. 20 inch G-Power Silverstone Diamond wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport rubber measuring 255/35 ZR 20 and 285/30 ZR 20 are fitted. To deal with the suspension G-Power have added their G5-RS coil-over suspension with nine-way adjustability for compression and rebound plus infinitely variable height adjustment

G-Power brakes are fitted, front and rear. With a disc diameter of 396mm on the front and 380mm at the rear, combined with six- and four-pot callipers respectively, deceleration forces upwards of 1g are normal. Customers have the option of upgrading to the G-Power ceramic brake set, which delivers a reduction in unsprung masses of around 50% for the braking componants.

The interior of the M5 Touring has been upholstered by G-Power in premium leather and Alcantara and goes beyond what is possible from “BMW Individual” equipment. Diamond stitching is a feature on almost all surfaces, including the seats, roof pillars and the entire headliner, with even the floor mats and rear load surface finished in this style.

As a complete vehicle the BMW M5 Hurricane RS Touring includes the 20 inch wheel set, suspension, brake system and the power increase to 750hp, as well as the G-Power full-leather upholstery.
