2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS ‘4.2’ Latest Spy Shots

Porsche is the talk of the town at the moment. There are test mules appearing all over the planet of the next generation of hardcore RS models. The GT2/GT2 RS mules seem to be stealing the headlines, but there is another RS in the making. Geneva 2017 gave us the public unveiling of the 991.2 GT3 that was just as powerful as the 991.1 GT3 RS.

It only makes sense for the German manufacturer to update the GT3 RS with a 991.2 variant which many are labelling the ‘4.2’ RS, suggesting the 4-litre engine will be bored out to 4.2-litres for a bigger bang than the already ballistic 991 GT3 RS.

The huge wing remains, but there are hints of the 911 R rear diffuser and the new face of the second generation GT3 that was a highlight of Geneva with its manual transmission. If these spy shots are anything to go by, the 991.2 GT3 RS will take the 911.1 car and add a new level of ferocity to the 500hp. The new aero efficiency will ensure the GT3 RS will be just as, if not even stickier than its predecessor with the added potency of more power. Expect a host of performance improvements and upgrades to the 2019 Porsche GT3 RS that promises to be the most desirable track toy around. Stay tuned for more details!
