Being from the UK, I am aware of how much the new Ford Fiesta means to the US manufacturer. It debuts here at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 and is expected to be a best-seller, particularly in Europe. We wouldn’t normally bring you news of a new hatchback, however, the Ford Fiesta ST proves so popular with enthusiasts, we felt it difficult to ignore!

The next generation Ford Fiesta ST builds upon the success of the outgoing model. It has downsized slightly and now features an all-new 1.5 litre three-cylinder petrol engine. That engine is just as potent though with 200 PS and 290 Nm of torque. Ford are currently quoting a zero to 100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds.

For the first time, the Fiesta ST gets Drive Modes that adjust engine, steering, stability controls and even exhaust sound, the later enhanced by an Electronic Sound Enhancement and active exhaust valve setup. The three modes include Normal, Sport and Track and are accompanied by a cylinder deactivation system for efficiency.

New technology and styling packs are also available with a SYNC 3 connection and 8-inch touchscreen. A B&O Play high-end audio system should provide excellent audio quality too. The Fiesta ST will be available form early 2018 in both three and five door body styles with various options to customise the looks.

  1. Hi Srs.That´s a beautiful car. The wheels and the front grid looks like a Ast…
But… In my oppinion the rear lights… looke a vulgary car.
I propose 2 paraleled rectangular and longer turn on the side of the body about 6/7 cms.
and with a rectangular triangle finish.
    But this is my oppimion.
Thanks and best regards from A. da Costa.
