The biggest surprise of the Geneva Motor Show 2017 yet is the The Bentley EXP12 Speed 6e Concept. It builds upon the Coupe we saw a few years ago, creating a convertible concept car which uses the latest in battery technology. We took a closer look!

The Bentley EXP12 Speed 6e Concept uses high-speed inductive charging and provides a range sufficient for grand touring requirements. While the press release talks about future Bentley’s which the brand hope would be able to drive between London and Paris or Milan and Monaco on a single charge, the car of today has a 310 mile range.

On board, driver and passenger will experience state-of-the-art technology within a luxuriously appointed cabin. The entire central console, for example, is hewn from a solid piece of elegantly curved glass and encompasses a high-definition OLED screen. All of the car’s principle onboard controls are accessible from this unit, including navigation, entertainment and climate control.

The ides behind the concept is to provoke thoughts on the future direction of the Bentley brand. Bentley’s current product strategy includes the introduction of PHEV models across the Bentley model range over the next few years, starting with the Bentayga in 2018.
