World renowned BMW tuner AC Schnitzer from Germany is bringing a BMW i8 with carbon aerodynamic pack to this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Besides the carbon treatment the customized i8 features a special red chrome livery.
The lowering of the bodywork by 25 mm at the front and 20 mm at the rear further enhance the sporty looks of the plug-in hybrid sports car. The contrasting carbon fiber elements are clearly visible all around the car’s exterior. At the front there is a distinctive carbon front splitter, the sides of the car are complemented by carbon sideskirts, and a carbon fiber rear wing adds more flair to the car’s tail.
Additionally more of the exclusive material is visible on the front bonnet and air intakes. A large carbon fiber rear diffuser completes the car’s aerodynamic bodykit at the rear, providing a suction effect in the underfloor region of the i8. Apart from the exclusive aesthetics, the aerodynamic components contribute to better pressure distribution, downforce and handling characteristics.
Further customization shows itself through the details such as carbon door handle recesses, mirror caps, and the restyled characteristic BMW kidney grille. Some exclusive options on the interior include an aluminum pedal set and velour floor mats.
The flashy AC Schnitzer BMW i8 is finished with a set of lightweight AC1 forged alloy wheels in bicolor or anthracite, specially designed for this creation.
