The in 2017 to be unveiled Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk will be made available with some serious Hellcat power. The ‘conventional’ Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, which is due for this fall, can already be regarded to as a true all-weather powerhouse with its rumbling 6.4-liter V8 engine.

Things are however to get a little bit more extreme with the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk. The roaring V8 hemi will be further tweaked and optimized to make it one of the most insane track tools out there. In order to cope with the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 Hellcat engine, the most performance-oriented Grand Cherokee will get more bracing and firmer suspension plus a few additional drivetrain components.

Making the performance SUV track ready also means losing some of its rough looks that are now reserved for its off-road oriented siblings. Compensation will come in the form of a much stiffer suspension setup and a slightly more aggressive stance.
