If you are the proud owner of a Ford Raptor and are looking for a serious upgrade, you might want to checkout Hennessey Performance’s latest offering. This is their insane 6×6 ‘Hennessey VelociRaptor’, a 600 hp powertruck on six wheels.
This is perhaps one of the more serious attempts to rival Mercedes-AMG’s crazy G63 6×6 beast. The Hennessey upgrade is available for the 2017 model Ford Raptor and starts at a ‘reasonable’ $295,000 all in, which is substantially less than the price of a G63 6×6.
It’s meant to be offered as a total package, so the near $300k gets you the base 2017 Raptor 4-door truck with 6×6 rear-locking axles, and upgraded ‘Fox’ suspension, 20-inch wheels shod with off-road tires, special front and rear bumpers, a rollbar and custom LED lights.
Hennessey Performance will also offer its VelociRaptor 600 twin-turbo upgrade which comprises upgraded turbochargers, stainless steel exhaust modifications, an upgraded variant of the front-mounted air to air intercooler and a re-tuned factory computer.
If customers wish to spend more on their truck Hennessey will gladly fit the VelociRaptor with upgraded Brembo brakes, larger wheels and tires, more LED lighting upgrades, a bespoke interior and for those of you that want to go full-redneck: a full armoring system.
