A limited amount of 2016 Porsche Macan models is being recalled due to a malfunctioning anti-roll bar. The issue seems to have mainly struck examples that were built during the summer months of this year and delivered to both the UK and the US.

In the UK there are 102 known Macan’s to have a faulty anti-roll bar connecting links that could fail and result in unpredictable handling. In the US 245 models seem to be affected by the mistake, where a similar recall has been issued.

In case you’re not sure whether your Macan has the same issue and you didn’t receive an official letter from Porsche already, look for the following signs: your Macan feels like it’s overly sensitive to oversteer during fast-paced driving, or there is a distinct rattling sound you may notice. In case of the latter, it seems likely the ARB link has failed.

Either way you can always drop by the Porsche Center to have it checked out, better be safe than sorry! The owners of surely affected cars already got notice and will have the part replaced for free by their Porsche dealer.
