One of Audi’s biggest hits at the 2016 Paris Motor Show surely is the new Audi RS3 sedan. Featuring the redeveloped 2.5-liter TFSI that we know from the recently launched TT RS, this entry sedan’s performance impresses with an output of 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque.

The performance increase compared to the current RS3 Sportback is quite serious, whose 2.5 TFSI produces ‘only’ 367 hp and 465 Nm of torque. On-road performance of the new RS3 sedan is just as impressive with a 4.1 seconds 0-100 km/h sprint and a limited top speed of 250 km/h. If desired, Audi will remove the vmax ensuring a top speed of 280 km/h.

We expect that the newly developed five-cylinder will find its way to the RS3 Sportback in due course, although nothing has been revealed by Audi so far. The RS3 Sedan is to arrive at local dealerships in spring 2017, but no information regarding prices has been disclosed so far. If we were to speculate, the Audi S3 Sedan that we drove earlier this year came in at a base price of €41,000 in Germany. The RS3 will ask for a significant premium so we expect prices to start North of €50,000.
