It’s been a while since we heard from Carlsson but here they are presenting their latest tuning program for the Mercedes-AMG A45 (W176). The German tuner left the world’s powerful four-cylinder engine untouched and primarily focused on cosmetic upgrades for the hot pocket rocket.
The Carlsson A-Class bodykit includes several aerodynamic components starting with a new front spoiler, matching side skirts and a custom rear diffusor with extended rear spoiler. Carlsson also developed a four-pipe rear muffler that goes with the aftermarket exhaust system.
Improving handling and driving dynamics is the Carlsson adjustable coil over suspension. As an alternative, lowering springs is also an option. Altogether the added downforce and lower back pressure from the exhaust system should translate in even better performance than the standard A45 AMG.
As seen on the pictures the Carlsson CA45 AMG comes with 16-spoke ‘Graphite Edition’ 20-inch rims. The Graphite finish is the latest available from three possible finishes on Carlsson’s 1/16 RS wheels. These particular wheels are painted dark anthracite grey and finished with a matte clear coat.
