The Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster has been caught testing at the Nürburgring ahead of its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show!

The Mercedes-AMG GT C is to be the soft-top variant of the two-door coupe. Just as the hardtop did with the Porsche 911, the AMG GT C will arrive with the Porsche 911 Cabriolet in its crosshairs.

The Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster shouldn’t have any surprises in store in regards to styling. The fastback-style hardtop has of course been traded in for a folding hardtop, giving the car a flat bootlid section. Apart from a center mounted third brake light reminiscent of the SLS AMG’s, that just about concludes the exterior revisions.

Powertrain offerings will perfect mirror those in the hardtop. Mercedes’ 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 will be offered in both 462 horsepower and 510 horsepower flavors and will be coupled with a seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission.

The 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster is expected to arrive at dealerships by spring 2017.
