Little is currently known about the specifics of the upcoming 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan, however recent photos show that it has again been spotted testing at the Nürburgring. Spy photos from February this year also showed a heavily equipped A3 Sedan going around the ring hinting at an RS3 version being officially in the works. The new Audi RS3 Sedan is likely to be unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
This would be the first RS3 in sedan form and probably first serious competitor to the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 that recently received a facelift. The 2.5-liter five-cylinder RS3 hatch is good for 367 hp, which leads to speculation about what the sedan version will be capable of in the near future.
The CLA 45’s four-cylinder currently engine produces 380 hp, it therefore wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that the RS3 would come close to that figure, or possibly reaching 400 hp. We will keep you updated about the new RS3 sedan as we’re sure more information will come our way in due course.
