The first spy shots of the AMG powered Aston Martin Vantage have been released online.

While Aston has not confirmed the official name of the DB11’s smaller brother, the smart money suggests that Aston will continue to call its small sports car by the long standing Vantage moniker.

The prototype caught testing in the gallery above is clearly a physically shorter model than the DB11 and features a rounder roof line, modified headlights as well as a new grille and front spoiler. Another noted change is the addition of a modified rear bumper. In terms of interior changes, we can expect the new Vantage to feature many of the same styling traits as the DB11. These changes will include use of higher quality materials, a digital instrument cluster as well as modern infotainment system with eight-inch display.

Powering the new Vantage will be two different engine options, both from AMG. The first option will be a 4.0-liter V8 as wel as a brand-new 5.2-liter V12 engine with an output of 608 horsepower.

The new Vantage will hit showrooms in autumn 2017.
