Superyacht Sunday: Sunseeker’s Chimera Sport Yacht for Thrill Seekers

Chimera is an impressive 34.5-meter sport yacht built by Sunseeker in 2013, she replaced the older Predator model and with her came an array of options tailored towards thrill seekers.

The yacht features a five cabin layout with a master suite on the main deck and four guest staterooms. Of the four guest staterooms, two are VIP cabins located on the lower deck while the remaining two are twin cabins. There is an additional crew cabin which can accommodate five members.

Chimera was built with thrill seekers in mind, as she hosts an array of water toys onboard. In the garage you find a Williams 5.65 m diesel jet tender and two stand-up jet skis. Additional equipment includes two SeaBobs, water ski, ski donut, wakeboard, two Vespa scooters and a complete fishing tool set.

The hull material is made of fiberglass making her a very light yacht in her class, Chimera can achieve a top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 19 knots. The powerplant features two MTU engines rated at 2640 hp each.

With a price tag of £7,050,000, Chimera is currently available for charter through SuperYachtsMonaco at a fee of €110,000 ($122,298) per week.
