Aston Martin and Red Bull have secretly revealed their upcoming AM-RB 001 Hypercar to prospective buyers.

The secret reveal took place during last month’s Monaco Grand Prix and included a handpicked list of prospective buyers. The car, which is not expected to be launched until Summer 2018, was showcased as a clay model.

The models that were showcased are 70-80% accurate in terms of the final design, according to Aston Martin boss Andy Palmer. Working prototypes are expected to be up and running by spring of next year.

Palmer told Autocar that Aston Martin is currently using full-size models to achieve regulatory validation and fine tune things such as eye and seat positioning.

While we don’t know much about the car at this stage, Palmer has confirmed that the car will be mid-engined with power coming from a gas-electric hybrid powertrain.

Pricing is expected to be between £2 million and £3m. Total production will be limited to 99 units. We will bring you more news as it becomes available.
