The first spy shots of the upcoming Range Rover Sport Coupe have been released.
The upcoming Sport Coupe will be a direct competitor to the likes of the BMW X6 and will carry a price tag somewhere in the range of 75,000 Euros. The Sport Coupe as it has been nicknamed (official name not confirmed yet) shares its platform with the recently released Jaguar F-Pace.
So far details surrounding the Sport Coupe have been hard to come by. From what we can see in the spy shots we can tell that Range Rover engineers are looking to use the long bonnet of the F-Pace architecture to restyle the Sport Coupe into something special. Due to the size of the vehicle the interior is said to be designed to be more intimate than current Range Rover models.
Powertrains will be drawn from the extensive JLR range of six and eight-cylinder diesel and petrol engines, but it is not yet clear if the new Range Rover will feature the four-cylinder engines that are currently available in the Jaguar F-Pace. Some are even speculating that it could feature an optional all-electric powertrain similar to that seen in the upcoming Jaguar I-Pace EV.
The Range Rover Sport Coupe is expected to be officially unveiled sometime next year. We will keep you updated as we hear more.
