After dominating the second qualifying this morning, Mercedes-AMG has clinched pole for the 2016 Nurburgring 24 Hours which kicks off tomorrow at 3:30 pm. Black Falcon set the fastest time during the Top 30 Qualifying session this evening with a 8m14.515 lap in the #9 Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Maro Engel.

DTM driver Augusto Farfus put Schubert Motorsport in second place with the #18 BMW M6 GT3. Q2 winners Haribo Racing Team set the third and fourth fastest times with the #88 and #8 Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Maximilian Gotz and Uwe Alzen.

Fifth place on the starting grid went to Team Phoenix with the #5 Audi R8 LMS while Walkenhorst Motorsport settled for sixth place with the #999 BMW M6 GT3.

The session had several incidents including drivers crashing into the guard rails due to the semi-wet track.
