Even though Audi’s new A4 was already released last year, for the enthusiasts among us that are waiting to purchase the RS version the waiting game has just started. These are the first official 2018 Audi RS4 spy shots to emerge and several rumors hint at a late 2017 introduction.
For A4 lovers looking for a bit more performance, the at Geneva revealed S4 is already availably for purchase. The single-turbo 3.0-liter V6 is good for 354 hp and is a perfectly capable sports car on its own. The more hardcore RS4 is said to feature the same V6 engine, except for it will be twin-turbocharged, raising the performance output to around 420 – 450 hp.
The RS4 will likely be fitted with a Tiptronic gearbox, presumably the 8-Speed ZF developed box that we know from the RS6, RS7 and S8. The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show is probably where the 2018 Audi RS4 will make its global debut.
