BMW has officially announced plans to release a softer version of the M4 GTS called the M4 CS.

The M4 CS will be sold exclusively in Spain and will feature a limited production run of just 60 units. According to BMW, the CS is designed as a more civilized and usable version of the GTS. As such, the CS will feature rear seats, carbon ceramic brakes, the adaptive M chassis and 20-inch silver wheels.

The CS will be powered by the same 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine as the M4 albeit with a bit more power. Expect the CS to fall in the power range somewhere above the M4’s 431 horsepower but below the GTS’s 500 horsepower.

In continuing with the theme of small changes, BMW has also removed the 155 mph speed limiter that comes standard on the M4. The CS model will have an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph.

BMW has not revealed a launch date for the CS or if any of the 60 models are still available for purchase. We will keep you updated as we hear more.
