Maserati Levante to Make US Debut at New York Auto Show 2016

Celebrating its official worldwide debut at the beginning of this month in Geneva, the Italian sports car manufacturer Maserati is set to present their brand new SUV for the first time on American soil later this month in New York.

The Maserati Levante is the Italian car builder’s answer to recent developments in the luxury SUV segment. The Levante comes in two versions for now, the regular Maserati Levante (345 hp) and the more powerful Levante S (424 hp). The fresh SUV is marketed as being a true Maserati and a 100% SUV, a genuine “made in Italy” automobile.

Powered by Ferrari’s 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, the Levante uses the Ghibli platform with Q4 all-wheel drive as standard. The 3.0-liter V6 is good for a 5.8 second sprint to a 100 km/h and a top speed that just about exceeds 250 km/h (156 mph). The Levante S brings the zero to a hundred time down to five seconds and tops out at 264 km/h (164 mph).

Boasting true Italian craftsmanship with its premium interior and having the latest high-tech features on board, the new Maserati Levante is ready to hit the road by summer 2016. Maserati is taking US orders by April 2016, with the regular Levante priced at $72,000. The price tag of the 424 hp Levante S shows a base price of $83,000.
