The 2017 Nissan GT-R will debut at the 2016 New York International Auto Show later this month, but we’ve gotten an early look at the supercar’s updated rear end thanks to a teaser image released by the Japanese automaker.
The image shows the recognizable rear of the R35 GT-R but with revised LED ring taillights. The 2017 GT-R is expected to adopt updated styling cues both out back and out front, which rumours indicate will make the car appear more aggressive. Nissan’s now signature ‘V-Motion’ grille is said to appear, along with LED daytime running lights and new five-spoke wheels.
It’s not clear if Nissan plans on further bumping the output of the GT-R’s 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, however considering Nissan has been incrementally adding power to the GT-R since it was first introduced in 2009, it seems likely.
GTspirit will have all the info on the 2017 Nissan GT-R when it debuts on the morning of Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016.
Am I the only one who wants to see Nissan go nuts and throw somewhere in the ballpark of 1000 hp at the GT-R?
The gtr has a 3.8 liter twin turbo not a 3.5 as listed in the article
Can’t wait to see it!
